About Us
Colenorton Dragons was founded in August 1992 from members of the Eton College Bursary and Maintenance Department. Initially, the club was made up of building and related trades staff, their families and friends. However, in a relatively short space of time, the club has grown and now welcomes anyone who wants to give the sport a go.
The club has been very successful at National level for the past few years and has represented Great Britain at the European Championships. In 1996, 1997 and 1998, we also competed in the Great River Race paddling 22 miles up the River Thames coming first in our class. We also compete in Club competitions throughout the UK and Europe.
The club takes an active role in the local community organising charity events, participating in the 'Mega Break' programme for local school children in the summer holidays, organising corporate entertainment for local companies and many more.
Social - The club holds many social events throughout the year to raise money for charities and to help with the running costs of the club.
We have the use of local facilities where we have held Race Nights, Karaokes, Quizzes, Skittles and general Parties. We also use The Watermans Arms in Eton for Quizzes, Dinners, Meetings, Parties and After Training Socialising.
